Listening First. Leading with Common Sense.
KUMAR FOR TEMPLE CITY
VISION &
PRIORITIES
My priorities for Temple City
01
LISTENING-FIRST LEADERSHIP
Before making decisions, I will listen to residents, small business, and city staff -- and ask probing questions to fully understand issues, culture, and long-term consequences
02
COMMON-SENSE FINANCIAL
STEWARDSHIP
With decades of business experience, I believe city finances must be managed with discipline and transparency. I oppose the proposed 0.75% sales tax increase and will advocate for responsible budgeting before asking residents to pay more.
03
REVITALIZE DOWNTOWN LAS TUNAS
Downtown Temple City should be vibrant, walkable, and welcoming. I will work to support local businesses, improve public spaces, and help Las Tunas become a destination our community is proud of.
04
BALANCED HOUSING SOLUTIONS
We need thoughtful housing options that respect neighborhood character while supporting seniors, families, and long-time residents — without sacrificing quality of life or infrastructure capacity.
VALUES & COMMITMENT
My Commitment to You
01
I will lead with integrity and transparency
02
I will listen before deciding
03
I will ask tough, thoughtful questions
04
I will serve no more than two terms
05
I have no personal or business interests tied to City Hall
06
I will help prepare and mentor future community leaders
